Utilization of hydrogen energy has many striking attributes, including energy renewability, flexibility and nullity greenhouse emissions. Hydrogen is considered to be the most viable energy carrier for the future. In order to enhance the production of hydrogen from plasma electrolysis of water, the capability of diode pumped solid state laser (DPSS) with second harmonic generation output has been investigated. The efficiency of the hydrogen yield was found to be greater than the normal Faradic efficiency. Different factors such as laser power, breakdown current and laser irradiation time have been drawn attention during experiment.

V/Hz control is simple and relatively easy to implement. It provides motor performance which is adequate for most applications. The new design of brain-emotional-learning-based intelligent controller for Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation inverter is proposed for induction motor V/f speed control. The availability of information on the internet and its enrichment has kindled many researchers to perform their research work in the areas of information retrieval and web mining. Still, most of the existing web mining researches are focused only on retrieving similar patterns leaving dissimilar patterns which are likely to contain the outlying data. This paper concentrates on mining web content\noutliers which extracts the dissimilar web document taken from the group of documents of same domain. Moreover, previous algorithms for web content outliers mining is developed for structured documents, whereasWWWcontains mostly unstructured and semi structured documents. Therefore, there is need to develop a technique to mine outliers for unstructured and semi structured document types. Moreover, mining web content outliers indirectly helps in promoting business activities and improving the quality of the search results. In this paper, a novel mathematical approach based on correlation is developed for retrieving relevant web document through outlier detection technique from all types of web documents. In addition, this method also identifies the redundant web documents. Removal of these redundant documents as well as outlaid documents improves the quality of search results by providing user relevant information. Experimental results proved that this methodology gives better results in terms of accuracy, recall and specificity than the existing methodologies.

Abstract\nBackground: Although a large body of evidence exists on the effect of long term exercise training program on pulmonary function, much less attention has been dedicated to investigating the acute effect of short term exercise program on improving the ventilatory function. Objective: The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of short term high intensity aerobic exercise on lung function in adults to start first step in establishing an evidence based exercise program designed for chest patients who can only be supervised in short term hospitalization phase. Methods: A pre-post test study design was carried out on thirty healthy men students with their mean age 21.7 ± 1.26 who were enrolled in this study. Every student performed a 20-minute high-intensity monitored stationary arm ergometer exercise and ventilatory function tests was performed in order to measure forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume at the end of the first second (FEV1), FEV1/FVC ratio and peak expiratory flow rate PEFR before and after the exercise. Results: The result showed significant increase in the mean value of FEV1, and a non-significant difference in the mean values of (FVC), FEV1/FVC and PEFR. Conclusion: A single high intensity arm ergometer exercise sitting has a significant effect on improving forced expiratory volume in the normal adult.

In the present investigation, an integrated approach to human face recognition and gender identification is proposed. The Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix and Kernel Principal Component Analysis technique is used for face recognition and Spatial Weber Local descriptor and Probabilistic Neural Network is used for gender identification. The gray level co-occurrence matrix extracts features such as energy, contrast, entropy and inverse difference are extracted for all the database images as well as the query image. The best matched top ten images are saved in another database for further process. The kernel principal component analysis technique for face recognition is applied to the best matched images only. Finally Maximum likelihood is employed for the phase congruence query and the best match¬¬¬ed images to recognize the face. The gender identification is done by extracting two texture features, namely differential excitation and gradient orientation. The Spatial Weber Local Descriptor (SWLD) and the two layers Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) were used to identify the gender of query image. The performance of this proposed technique is evaluated using the False Acceptance Rate (FAR) and False Rejection Rate (FRR), Recognition time for different databases and various size images are compared with the Existing technique. The results depicts that the proposed technique have better performance compared to the Existing techniques.

Objective: To investigate the effects of 12-weeks neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) program on abdominal muscle strength, abdominal and waist circumference and selected pulmonary function after major abdominal surgery. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Material and methods: Forty five patients participated in the study and were randomized into NMES group and placebo NMES group. NMES group received 12-weeks NMES program 5 times per week 20-45 minutes per session and placebo NMES group received placebo NMES five times per week. Main measures: Isometric abdominal muscle strength, abdominal circumference, waist circumference, forced vital capacity (FVC) and forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) were measured at baseline, one month after surgery (midpoint) and after 12-weeks. Results: Patients in the NMES group showed a significant improvement as compared with those in the placebo NMES group. Abdominal strength and percentage of improvement after 12-weeks were 94.47±1.62 Nm (73.02%) for NMES group and 58.04±2.14 Nm (4.57 %) for the placebo NMES group. Abdominal and waist circumference and percentage of improvement were 94.60±2.12 cm (4.30%) and 98.04±1.29 cm (6.28%) for NMES group and 98.13±1.75 cm (1.00%) and 103.64±1.13 cm (0.73%) for the placebo NMES group. FVC and FEV1 and percentage of improvement for the NMES group was 3.75 ± 0.33 liter (26.27 %) and 2.87 ± 0.29 liter (27.82%) and for the control group was 3.25 ± 0.27 liter (10.9 %) and 2.42 ± 0.23 liter (9.35%) respectively. Conclusions: Participation in NMES program is effective for strength gain and improves pulmonary function in rehabilitation of post-surgical patients.

Flexible magnetic nanoparticles decorated with dialdehyde starch (DAS) were developed and used as a novel enzyme support for the covalent conjugation of papain. The analyses of Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy confirmed the preparation of magnetic particles with flexible long molecular chains on their surfaces and conjugation of papain with the Fe3O4-DAS nanoparticles. The measurement of size distributions showed that the size of Fe3O4 nanoparticles had no marked changes after conjugation with papain. Considering that the immobilized papain was found to exhibit better tolerance to the variations of temperature and medium pH, an advantage of easy to magnetic separation and lack of negative effect on biological activity, the kind of flexible magnetic bioconjugate support should be a good immobilized enzyme carrier, and has potential application in textile, leather, food industries.

A software process is a group of activities that are integrated to produce a software system. Software engineering involves the selection of several software architectural alternatives, but there is no definite guidance on which architecture is most suitable in terms of tradeoffs. Software Architecture during the designing process must comply with particular requirements, for the efficiency of the software. The software architecture defines the external properties of the components in a system and the internal relations between them. A major challenge in the software architecture design process is the accurate prediction and improvement of the software performance characteristics in terms of factors such as outage frequency and duration before software delivery. This paper proposes a software architecture for an ATM banking system based on Fuzzy Association Rules (FAR) and reviews some of the Software Architecture Analysis Methods (SAAM), implementation of FAR and a detailed performance analysis of software architecture in terms of reliability, flexibility, adaptability, and security. The software architecture is compared to the proposed ATM banking software architecture with various existing software architectures in terms of performance, reliability, flexibility, adaptability, and security. It is observed that the proposed software architecture performs better when compared to all other existing software architectures.

Introduction and objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the consumption level of plant sterol naturally-occurring in food among adults and its connection with food preferences and food choice factors. \nMaterial and methods: The study population comprised of 817 adults (n=449 of female and n=368 of male) aged 35.8 ±11.3. Anthropometric appraisal included: body height and weight, waist and hip circumferences. Nutritional questionnaire was used to estimate the food preferences of selected food products. Nutritional data were assessed by 24-hours food records., Cluster analysis was applied to identify the similarity of plant sterol naturally-occurring in food and food preferences. \nResults: The mean intake of plant sterols was estimated by level Median = 107.3 mg/day in female and 148.2 mg/day in male. Cluster showed a varied preferences of selected food products which was also related to the level of the phytosterols consumption. Female with higher intake of plant sterols (cluster II) were more likely to pay attention to: quality, flavor, freshness, nutritional value, health aspect of fruits, vegetables and cereals products. Price was the least preferred factor. Similar tendency among males was not observed.\nConclusions: The consumption level of plant sterol naturally-occurring in food was low among studied adults. The highest plants sterols intake was connected with the tendency to choose preferable products that are good sources of phytosterols. Sex differences as relevant chosen factors were observed

Mobile ad-hoc networks are becoming more popular as the use of mobile computers are increasing. The biggest challenge facing such networks is continuous and random change in the network topology. In order to identify the best topology routes in multi-hop mobile network, it is necessary to minimize the hop-count based on finding the shortest path between nodes, and this becomes an important factor in the previous research. Expected Transmission Time (ETT) is a bandwidth-adjusted Expected Transmission Count, it is more efficient in many related research works. ETT metric incorporates the effects of link loss ratios, asymmetry in the loss ratios between the two sides, and interference among the successive links of a path. In contrast, the minimum hop-count metric chooses instinctively among the different paths of the same minimum length, regardless of the large differences in throughput among those paths, and ignoring the possibility that a longer path may perform higher throughput. This paper describes the design and implementation of ETT as a link quality metric for finding high-throughput route in ad hoc network, as well as modifications to DSR which allow it to use ETT. We analyze and compare the performance through simulation using aspects of throughput and end-to-end delay. We apply ETT as routing metric in the Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocol which it is an reactive routing protocol in OPNET simulator. Through simulation analysis, the modified ETT-DSR protocol has higher throughput than the original DSR protocol throughout the simulation experiments.

Background/ Ethnopharmacological Relevance\nAyurveda, the system of traditional medicine native to the India and a form of alternative medicine, emphasizes the use of cow’s urine as an effective medicine against various skin diseases, over the centuries. A complete biochemical analysis of cow’s urine was done in this research, to understand its biochemical constituents, including tests to confirm the presence of phenols, flavonoids, antioxidants and steroids.\nMaterials and Methods\nA set of quantitative and qualitative tests that baselined methodologies/ estimations using Gallic acid for phenols, vanillin-catechol for flavonoids, 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine (DNPH) for antioxidants, etc. were applied. The antioxidant activity was assessed by hydroxyl radical scavenging activity using DNPH reagent. Diastase enzyme activity was calculated in terms of maltose equivalent using DNS reagent estimation method. HPLC analysis was done using Gallic acid standard. Hydrocortisone steroid estimation using 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine was also done successfully.\nResults\nThe research highlights cow’s urine as a substantial source of natural antioxidant, helpful in preventing the progress of various oxidative stresses. Hydrocortisone estimation confirms cow’s urine to be an excellent natural source of steroids too, and ascertains its wide array of medical applications as a natural source of antioxidants, steroids, and other enzymes.\nConclusions\nThis research ascertains the pharmaceutical applications of cow’s urine, being a natural source of significant bioconstituents with no harmful side-effects and cost-effectively cheaper in extraction/ purification processes.

A hybrid model for the Automatic Segmentation of the blood vessels of the Coronary Angiogram image is proposed, which involves various stages such as Pre-processing, Image Enhancement, and Segmentation using discrete wavelet transform and watershed transform along with Morphological operations. Pre-processing is done to remove the noise using the bicubic interpolation method followed by Daubechies 4 discrete wavelet transform and Weiner filtering. Further, Image Enhancement is done to improve the quality of the image using the histogram equalization technique. Auto Thresholding is done to segment the edges of the blood vessel accurately and efficiently using distance and watershed transforms followed by normalization and median filtering. Finally, Morphological operations are performed to remove the noise due to segmentation. Superiority of the proposed hybrid model is evaluated using fractional true positive, fractional false negative, the total computational time and mean parameters against the existing methods in the literature. Thus, it is proved that the proposed hybrid method is efficient and improved.

Disease diagnosis and prognosis are two medical applications pose a great challenge to the researchers. The application of data mining and machine learning techniques has revolutionized the whole process of disease diagnosis. This paper intends to propose a hybridized approach, Correlative Framework (CF) algorithm for the implementation of diagnosing breast cancer, the most scare away disease. The major objective of this paper is to analyze and predict the vulnerability of disease in a patient. The association rule of data mining is deployed to correlate the interesting relation from the huge medical database. In this proposal, Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) is exploited for feature selection. Initially, base rule is generated, then for each rule feature support is computed which is followed by confidence. On the basis of feature supporting the base rule, supplementary rule and positive rule is generated. Regression is utilized for each rule with its corresponding feature value. Classification result is obtained based on minimum and maximum of residual support values. The significant performance of our newly devised algorithm is evaluated using confidence metrics. Experimental results expose that prediction level of our adduced work is more factual than other existing algorithms.

In recent times, a number of studies have been done on object tracking with wireless sensor networks (WSN) due to its broad applications. Most object tracking schemes uses prediction to minimize the energy consumption and to maintain low missing rate in a sensor network. However objects need to be localize, when object was found missing during tracking process. In this paper, we propose an inference system such as fuzzy Inference system (FIS) to calculate the edge weight of each sensor node and also we propose a searching technique such as simulated annealing to optimize the fuzzy inference system to accurately estimate the location of the missing object and Finally, we simulated our proposed method against the centroid and multilatertion methods to evaluate its performance in terms of network energy consumption and localization error.

Lumpy skin disease (LSD) is one of the major threats of cattle stock industry in Egypt. 9 There is much confusion in laboratory diagnosis of lumpy skin disease. Specific lumpy 10 skin disease virus (LSDV) primers were used in polymerase chain reaction assay (PCR) 11 on field samples of skin biopsies and EDTA blood from clinically infected cattle located 12 in Ismaillia, Egypt to assess their efficiency for LSD diagnosis. The specificity of the 13 primers was confirmed by using other Capripox viruses (CaPVs) such as vaccinal strain 14 of sheep poxvirus (SPPV) and local adapted tissue culture LSDV (Ismaillia 88). Specific 15 LSDV primers were successfully and specifically detected the LSDV in 100% of skin 16 biopsies and 40% of EDTA blood samples and did not able to detect SPPV. Therefore, 17 specific PCR is a valuable technique for accurate diagnosis of LSD without any 18 confusion with other related viruses and differentiate LSDV from SPPV and must be 19 used as routine diagnostic test for LSD. Detection of LSDV in field samples by using 20 PCR and Dot blot hybridization (DBH) were compared. The results revealed that both 21 PCR and DBH detected LSDV in 100% skin biopsies while detection rates in EDTA 22 blood were 40% and 30% using PCR and DBH respectively.

In autumn 2011, in cyprinid farms located in Iasi on the Jijia river, we diagnosed several infections with bacterial strains and macroscopical external cysts on the skin, developed as a result of the stress induced by biotic and abiotic factors. On the examination of the cyst contents the presence of numerous spores was observed, typical of the genus Dermocystidium erschowii. \nThe samples were collected from the following species: common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and crucian carp (Carassius auratus gibelio) from the fish farm as well as from the Jijia River. In this respect, 35 fish were examined, all of them showing cyst, fragmentation of their dorsal fin and congestion of the gills. \nHistological examination of the skin showed multiple dermal cysts field with round light eosinophilic formations (14-16 µm) containing a central refractable body similar to that reported for Dermocystidium erschowii.\nGills samples were taken from the affected areas, for the SEM examination with the purpose of evaluating not only aspects of normal morphology but also aspects of some modifications characterising the affected areas together with the presence of etiologically incriminated bacteria: Pseudomonas fluorescens.\nThe isolates were identified by phenotypics metods. All the strains showed mobility and oxidase-positivity were tested used API 20 NE strip. Consequently, they were taxonomically grouped into the species Pseudomonas fluorescens. \nScanning electron microscope (SEM) was used for the first time in characterization of the bacterial lesions produced by Pseudomonas strains on Cyprinus carpio and Carassius auratus gibelio gills.\nThe diagnosis of septicemy with conditionately pathogen species of Pseudomonas fluorescens was correlated with the results of physico-chemical investigations of water and data concerning breeding conditions of the investigated livestock.

The aim of the current paper is to observe the relations between morphology and physiological status of the pineal gland in connection with the somatic development level. Biological material was represented by a number of 50 individuals belonging to B.U.T. Big 6 hybrid, reared on soil, on a permanent litter, which could assure the expanding of knowledge area regarding the relation between rearing technology, modulation of some microclimate parameters and growing performances. Were also realised cytometric and hystometric muscular determinations.

A rapid, simple, specific, precise and accurate reversed phase liquid chromatographic (RP-LC) method has been developed for determination of insulin in dosage form. The chromatographic separation was achieved on a Symmetry® RP-C18, (150mm X 4.6mm, 5μm) column at a detector wavelength of 214 nm and a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. Mobile phase comprised of 55 volume of 1 mmol sodium sulphate in HPLC water pH 3.2, adjusted by phosphoric acid and 45 vol of acetonitrile. The retention time of insulin was 4.3 min. The linear regression analysis data for the calibration plots showed good linear relationship in the concentration range between 1-45 µg/mL. The value of correlation coefficient, slope and intercept were, 0.9997, 67755 and 10773, respectively. Standard deviations of the slope and intercept for the calibration curves were 1824 and 17908, respectively. LOD and LOQ values were determined to be 0.10 and 0.25 µg/ml, respectively. The method was validated for accuracy, precision and ruggedness. Mean recovery was 100.46 % while Intra- and inter-day relative standard deviations were 0.395% and 0.289% respectively. The proposed RP-LC method can be applied for the quality control or routine analysis of bulk insulin as well as commercially available formulations of insulin.

Southern corn leaf blight (SCLB) caused by Helminthosporium madyis (H. maydis) is the major foliar disease in Pakistan. In an in vitro study, 12 different fungicides in four concentrations (10, 20, 40 and 60 ppm) were evaluated against it. Results showed that ridomil gold and sancozeb were the most effective fungicides in inhibiting colony growth of H. maydis at the concentrations of 40 and 60 ppm. The test fungicides were also used for seed dressing under field conditions at the National Agriculture Research Centre (NARC), Islamabad. Of all treatments, ridomil gold followed by antracol was found to be the most effective fungicides in reducing the disease (10.1 and 21.1%) and consequently increasing the grain yield (5936 and 5011 kg ha-1 respectively). Detached leaf technique experiment showed that ridomil gold, acrobat and antracol were more effective spray fungicides up till 96 hrs after inoculating the leaves with 25 µl spore suspension. The most effective test fungicide ridomil gold was then applied on the pathogen inoculated leaves as curative agent at 24 hrs interval up till 144 hrs. It was observed that appearance of disease symptoms were effectively controlled up till 72 hrs. after inoculation of spore suspension. These results showed that application of the fungicide is more effective at an early plant stages. Thus, selected agrochemical (Ridomil gold) with recommended doses (40 and 60 ppm) could be applied at 4-6 leaf stages in different agro-climatic zones of Pakistan in future.

In this paper, we synthesize of nano cement with using sol-gal method at relatively low temperatures in an air atmospheres, respectively. In this way some unwanted – bonds have been made on the crystallite surface which can affect on the nano structural properties of nano particles.\nIn the paper work we have tried to understand of the hydration of cement particles and the use of nano-size Zirconium-doped La2O3 (ZdL) particle ingredients which can open up a large number of opportunities in the fields of ceramics and concrete.\nThe influence of ZdL addition on properties of hardened cement paste (hcp) as compared with cement without ZdL has been studied by sol-gel method. ZdL made cement paste thicker and ZdL accelerated the cement hydration process.\nNanoparticle’s phases of ZdL + cement were characterized with using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) techniques.

Support Vector Machine (SVM) is a supervised learning algorithm, recommended for classification and nonlinear function approaches. The goal of SVM is to find the optimum separating hyperplane, which is able to classify data points as well as possible, and to again separate them into two classification points as much as possible. The hallmarks of this classification reasoning are the support vectors chosen from the training set. On the other hand, training SVM involves solving a constrained quadratic programming problem, which requires a large memory and enormous amounts of training time for large-scale problems. Therefore, when finding the optimum separating hyperplane only a small part of the training set is used. \nIn this paper, we propose a method for finding a set of the training data for the training of the SVM. For this purpose, we use Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique for the elimination of non-critical training examples in the training set. By the help of PCA, the data in multi-dimensional space is converted into one-dimensional space. Then, by using the mean and the standard deviation of the one dimensional instances, the non-critical points are identified. Then, from the original training set, these non-critical instances are removed and the new reduced training set is used for the training process. Our experimental results show that our proposed method has a positive effect on computational time without degrading the classification results.

Stem cell research has raised expectations after novel cellular therapies of regenerative medicine came to light with the discovery of unexpected plasticity in stem cells. Stem cells offer a distinct prospect of changing the face of human medicine. However, although they have potential to develop into any tissue organization, they are still in the various stages of development as therapeutic interventions. In this article we have avoided the descriptions of various methodologies involved in collection, extraction, or purification of stem cells as several researches have already published or patented these technologies. The three most extensively used stem cell sources were umbilical cord blood, bone marrow and human embryos, subsequently other sources like human fatty tissues, hair follicles etc. have been documented. Advancement in stem cell medicine requires ethically sound and scientifically robust models to develop tomorrow’s remedies. Here, we describe the utility and application potential of human cord blood stem cells and its regenerative property.

Usability is a major concern in open source software (OSS). A pattern is used to provide solutions to a design problem within a certain context. Existing design patterns being used in OSS have certain issues such as lack of consideration of HCI rules, less users’ involvement in design, no style guidelines, and less focus on essential values and design invariant that can be encoded in software. An improved user design pattern is thus required to address these issues. This paper proposes a novel design pattern by studying and improving existing patterns. A case study has also been carried out to evaluate the proposed pattern.

Heat shock proteins (Hsp) are cellular proteins that are present under normal conditions but their expression level increases when the cell is under stress or shock. Hsp90 (Heat-shock protein 90 kDa) is one of a group of molecular chaperones responsible for managing protein folding and quality control in cell environment. Numerous observations link the heat shock response with the pathogenicity of the major fungal pathogen of humans, Candida albicans and alsosuggesting that Hsp90 play crucial roles in both adaptive and innate immunity. In the present study protein family and protein functional domain has been predicted by using Pfam and Smart tools apart from these protein location and functional regions had been predicted using TargetP, Psort and Protfun servers. The results shown two domains those deemed by the site to be significant. The protein contain the domain named Histidine kinase-, DNA gyrase B-, and HSP90-like ATPase belonging to the domain family HATPasec_3 this domain begin at position 22 and end at position 142, with an e-value of 3.7e-12 and Functional category of Amino_acid_biosynthesis (OR=12.82) and the present query belongs to enzyme class Ligase (OR= 3.037). The present study would aid in studying protein-protein interactions in future and could be further use as drug target studies.

The aim of the present paper is to study bitopological ordered spaces by using the\nsupra-topological ordered spaces. New separation axioms namely PTi; i = 0; 1; 2 are\nintroduced and some of their basic properties are studied. The relationship between\nthese axioms and the previous one axioms have been obtained.

This research proposed to implement the bandwidth allocation controlling algorithm at the network for bandwidth management. Moreover, to control the network traffic and bandwidth allocation per host basis. In a local area network, a static bandwidth allocation (STA) is commonly used, the proposed new mechanism can help to maintain fair bandwidth allocation, maximize bandwidth utilization and provide dynamic allocation of bandwidth. The Normal Interval Address Prediction (NIAP) statistical method is applied to estimate future bandwidth usage per host with certain level of confidence. The results show that NIAP method can help in achieving fair bandwidth allocation per host, and with maximum bandwidth utilization in a shared network link. The results of the evaluation also show that bandwidth is allocated dynamically per host.

Background: Pain and anxiety is associated with hysterosalpingography and had been the greatest source of drawback in its application for the investigation of infertility.\nObjective: To assess the impact of preparatory information and clarification of Hysterosalpingography (HSG) procedure on the anxiety level and pain experienced by patients during the examination. Method: A cross sectional multicenter study was undertaken to determine the impact of preparatory information and clarification on the anxiety level and pain experienced by patients during HSG procedure. One hundred and thirty five infertile patients randomly allocated to two groups were recruited into the study. The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory form was used to measure patients’ anxiety level while Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was used to evaluate pain experience. Result: Patients who received preparatory information reported less anxiety than patients who received no information (P<0.05).There was mild reduction in pain score recorded by patients with preparatory information though not statistically significant. Conclusion: Preparatory information and clarification of HSG can significantly reduce anxiety among patients presenting for the procedure. It will also reduce the level of pain experienced by the patients during the procedure. The result of this work can be applied in other invasive diagnostic medical procedures to reduce anxiety and pain in patients.
